Nancy Rosanoff is a woman who listensbut not only with her ears. She is an intuition consultant. She trains individuals and groups to listen to their inner voiceto tap into intuitive intelligence to make better personal and professional decisions.
According to Nancy, people who are successfulin business and in lifelive from the inside. They trust their intuitive intelligence. We are each so deeply connected to universal Intelligence that everything we need to know is always available to us at any given moment, she says.
Nancy builds a bridge between intuition and rationality. As a frequent speaker at national business gatherings and corporations like McGraw-Hill Broadcasting, Sony and Microsoft, Nancy is on the forefront of a more spiritually integrated approach to work and business.
But Nancys confidence in the principles of intuitive intelligence embraces all aspects of life. In 1999, she published her book Making Money through Intuition (part of the Complete Idiots Guide series) and another in 2002, called Knowing When Its Right: An Intuitive Approach to Improving Relationships.
So how does this work? What is the value of intuitive intelligence? Can anyone learn how to be more intuitive? Can anyone learn how to know when its right?
Nancys response goes right to spirituality. Intuitive intelligence comes from God, divine Love, she says. Even as a young child, I always had a sense of divine guidance. But in a family where God and religion were not warmly embraced, she says, "God was not a part of my family experience. I knew not to talk about God."
Despite her familys leanings, Nancy innately felt the God voice was available to everyone to hear and follow. Even when her friends dismissed her idea of knowing intuitively, she trusted what she was hearing within. Not long after college, Nancy started teaching others how to listen for divine guidance.
Imagine for a moment that you could eliminate all the pressure you feel from the expectations of others, the need to get it right....What you have left is your natural, intuitive intelligence. she has written. Each one of us has a source of wisdom. When decisions are made intuitively, they are in step with the unfolding of our truest self.
By 2001, Nancy had spent more than 20 years honing her ability to listen. I was deepening my confidence in divine Love, she says. As a private coach and corporate consultant, she had shared this gift with many thousands. And she had proved it repeatedly in her own life. Often, when she veered from making decisions based on her intuition, her life went out of balancesometimes she even became ill. Each time, she says, divine Love gently pulled her back on track, and her illness would abate.
When terrorists attacked the US on September 11, 2001, Nancys life turned in a new direction. 9/11 was transformative, she recalls. Months earlier, a man who runs a local cable television station had approached her to do a show. After consulting divine Intelligence, she declined. I put him off, she says. It didnt seem right.
But after 9/11, she says, I saw the media using the attacks to create more fear, and I had to respond. I had to do a show that would demonstrate that you dont have to live in fear. She wanted to offer a show that would bring hope and healing into the world. The result is called The Listening Placewhere we listen to life from the inside out. As producer and host of this weekly program out of New York, Nancy listens as her guests share how their inner intelligence informs what they do and how they live.
They come from some surprising places. They have included classical and jazz musicians, a circus director, members of the clergy, an environmentalist, a tai chi master, a playwright/director/painter, a school superintendent, a movie critic, a Buddhist businessman, a Shaman doctor, an acupuncturist and a Christian Science spiritual healer.
Nancys show is her personal commitment to helping people learn from each other. We each have a piece of the truth, Nancy believes. Out of deep listening, life happens. So, Nancy listens. She listens to others who share their stories, who open their hearts to articulate how they are who they are. She listens to her clients, who come to her for help in tapping into their own intuitive intelligence. And, first and foremost, she listens for that inner voice she truststhe voice of divine Loveto guide her step by step through lifes journey.
