Yes, it was not good news to hear New Morning going off the air. Like many viewers it became a part of my morning meditative time. As a weekly columnist, I discovered wonderful resources about people doing wonderful things throughout the country. New Morning became a source of "good news"! However, change is inevitable. Kathryn L. Robyn writes, "Moving on is about accepting what happened, not absolving it... You will mourn. Moan and groan and grieve. You are supposed to cry about these things." However, after that we move forward discovering we can discard any clutter we carry, take with us the important, and open ourselves to new perspectives. As I speak to audiences about "recovering from loss" I encourage people to get unstuck from the grief glue to be able to discover the adventures of living that lay before them. It is ok to take with you the legacy of memories while remembering there are still new memories to record and other memories to let go that no longer serve to build your life of service to others or deepen your faith journey. The Creator had a vision for change in the earth and the humans he created. Seasons cycle just as people undergo the cycle of life. We do not want to get stuck. Life is too short to not keep changing and discovering...just need to release the clutter to move forward. May All Your Adventures in Living be Blessed with Discovery! Pokie, What courage you have despite the challenges you must overcome...it is a blessing to those of us who will get to know your wisdom...what is remarkable is how willing you are to expand your skills despite the physical challenge...it reminds me of my Dad who had severe Rheumatoid Arthritis who never gave up no matter how crippled he became... Glad you signed up for the newsletter also... Maralene |

| The New Morning program was my morning cup of uplifting good news and support.. My husband was in the final stages of esophageal / brain cancer and the program gave me daily things to think on and reminders to enjoy the little things in life. I was very sad to loose this program as well. I do appreciate this site and wanted to say thank you for the many bits of faith, wisdom and support it continues to give. After 37 years of being two, it is certainly a new world now being one! The stories and ideas I find from this site help me to keep perspective on my days.. And continue to provide support as I build new routines for me. |

Sally,
Yes the transition from two to one is full of unexpected experiences. While you will never forget the love you shared together and all those experiences...I can encourage you that as the pain subsides you will discover your path to be full of adventures in living designed for you. A good friend of mine told me after my husband died, "You will never forget the love you had and there will be times the memories are so fresh. Enjoy the memories and then you can return them to your heart box and go out making new memories as you continue your life." You'll be surprised at what new experiences and challenges you will have to make your life an adventure!! Maralene |

Missing New Morning, I so to miss New morning, I still have some shows records and watch them from time to time and they still uplift me so. I know we will mourn when things change but New morning gave me so much a chance to see how God works thru others from parts of the world, places and people who became a part of my life. I can only hope one day it will decide to come back on the air for it is truly missed. For now I will keep my recording as long as I can for there gentle reminders. Love Cheryl:wow: |

| There is such a need now for people to be able to reach out for God on their own terms, in their language the way they feel most comfortable. People want to know how you communicate with God what are you experiences and how do you really feel. A year ago I would have shyed away and let you know I was way out of my comfort zone. But to humble me, I got Parkinson Disease and then to help me live with it he took me to Patientslikeme.com and then to spread my feeling he invented http://justmeantigues.blogspot.com. and them to spread more he brought me here. My life, with or without Parkinson Disease is awesome.......pokie |

| How wonderful that your journey has opened those new doors of acceptance, faith, and adventure as you walk your path with such positive energy. Surely, your experience will teach and create courage to the many you touch in your journey. Good to see how much progress you have made over this past year... continued blessings to you... | Since my last post my friends and I have banned together to launch a group here at faithstreams.com. A thought was expressed to me of a need for us to be able to meet to continue our friendships and support each other in this devastating disease in peace and quiet and with grace. We are a diverse group but we have faith and lots of love for each other. After I posted the other night I saw the group tag for the first time and spent the night getting our group started, "Parkies for Life". My friends are poets and authors and chemists and farmers and family people who like me have been presented with a new life style and are learning how to live with it through faith and friendships......bless..pokie |
